Former Governor of Adamawa State, Muhammed Bindow, has announced his withdrawal from the governorship contest under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Bindow made the announcement in a statement on Friday, explaining that the decision was reached after “deep personal reflection and careful consideration,” and was based entirely on personal reasons.
The former governor,, however,, reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the ADC, stressing that his withdrawal from the race would not affect his support for the party and its leadership.
“While I may be stepping aside from the gubernatorial race, I want to state clearly and unequivocally that my commitment, loyalty, and dedication to the ideals, leadership, and collective aspirations of the ADC remain firm and unwavering,” he stated.
Bindow said he would continue to support efforts aimed at strengthening the party and promoting its vision for Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole.
He also thanked his supporters, political associates and residents of the state for the confidence and encouragement they gave him during the course of his political consultations.
