The MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) says there will be a planned power outage in some parts of Enugu metropolis to enable its engineers carry out major repairs.
The Head, Communications of MEDL, Mr Emeka Ezeh, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday in Enugu.
Ezeh said that the power outage had been scheduled to take place on May 10 from 8a.m to 6p.m.
He noted that the planned power outage is to provide a safe working environment for engineers to conclude work on the reconstructed Emene Industrial Lines 1 and 2 towers.
The Mainpower spokesman said that the engineers would also carry out the restringing of wires.
He said that as a result, power supply to the following 33KV lines would be temporarily disrupted: Trans Ekulu, Thinkers Corner, Ituku Ozalla, and Ugwogo.
