The Delta State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Funkekeme Solomon, has said the collaboration between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is already yielding positive results for the people of Delta State.

Speaking during an interaction with journalists in Asaba, Solomon said Governor Oborevwori’s decision to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) and connect Delta State to the centre was strategic and beneficial to the overall development of the state.

According to him, the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, which he described as the President’s major campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections, had been directed by President Tinubu to mobilize Nigerians and communicate the achievements of the administration across the country.

He disclosed that after a recent meeting with President Tinubu attended by state coordinators, directors and other national leaders of the organization in Abuja, the President charged them to take the message of his reforms and achievements to the grassroots.

Solomon, while commending Governor Oborevwori for his massive support, said the structures of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors had already been fully established from the national level down to the zonal, state, local government, ward and unit levels across Delta State.

“In Delta State alone, all the structures have been completed. We have ambassadors in all the 270 wards and units across the state. The organization is fully on ground and ready for engagement and mobilization,” he said.

He explained that the national headquarters had already constituted about 16 directorates covering youth mobilization, media and publicity, digital and new media, finance, legal, technology and data, support groups, intelligence, women affairs, diaspora, research and innovation, among others.

The former Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly noted that the increasing number of support groups aligning with President Tinubu’s re-election project was evidence that Nigerians were beginning to appreciate the impact of the administration’s reforms.

He cited the recent inauguration of the City Boys Movement in Delta State and the growing influx of various support groups into the Renewed Hope Ambassadors structure as proof of rising grassroots acceptance of the APC.

“The massive turnout we witnessed during the inauguration of the City Boys Movement shows clearly that the youths are with President Bola Tinubu, the youths are with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the youths are with the APC,” Solomon stated.

He emphasized that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors campaign was anchored on “one message, one party and one mobilization,” stressing that all support groups and stakeholders must coordinate their communication strategy to avoid conflicting narratives.

Solomon also revealed that the organization would soon commence statewide engagements with religious leaders, including Christian and Muslim leaders, to deepen grassroots awareness of the President’s programmes and policies.

According to him, local government coordinators had already been directed to compile names of key religious leaders for consultations and outreach programmes aimed at spreading the administration’s goodwill messages.

Speaking on President Tinubu’s reforms, Solomon said although Nigerians initially experienced hardship following the removal of fuel subsidy and foreign exchange reforms, the policies had begun to reposition the nation’s economy for long-term stability and growth.

He maintained that the President inherited a struggling economy but had demonstrated courage and capacity through decisive reforms that were now yielding positive economic indicators.

Listing some of the achievements of the Tinubu administration, Solomon said the Federal Government had successfully removed fuel subsidy, unified the foreign exchange market, increased foreign reserves, boosted non-oil revenue generation and reduced the debt service burden.

He also highlighted improvements in oil production, rail transportation, road infrastructure, social investment programmes, student loans, consumer credit schemes, youth empowerment programmes and local government autonomy.

Solomon said the Tinubu administration had introduced major economic reforms, including fuel subsidy removal, foreign exchange unification and debt reduction policies aimed at stabilizing and growing the economy. He noted that the reforms had improved government revenue, foreign reserves, GDP growth and stock market performance.

He also highlighted achievements in the oil, gas and infrastructure sectors, including increased crude oil production, over $8 billion investment in oil and gas development, and ongoing projects such as the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway and Eastern Rail Project, alongside the introduction of the CNG initiative to reduce transportation costs.

On social welfare, Solomon said the Federal Government had disbursed billions of naira through cash transfers, student loans, nano-grants and other intervention programmes, adding that pension reforms, consumer credit schemes and workers’ compensation initiatives were aimed at improving the welfare of Nigerians.

According to him, the administration’s reforms had also led to increased allocations to states and local governments, thereby enabling governors and councils to execute more developmental projects.

Solomon argued that Delta State stood to benefit more from federal collaboration under the APC-led Federal Government, noting that Governor Oborevwori’s support for President Tinubu was already attracting confidence and goodwill to the state.

“Delta contributes significantly to the oil wealth of this country, and it is only right that the state remains connected to the centre to maximize development opportunities,” he said.

He called on Deltans, support groups, civil servants, religious leaders and APC faithful to remain united and committed to the Renewed Hope agenda.

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator further urged Nigerians not to be distracted by emerging political parties, insisting that continuity and stability remained the best option for the country.

He expressed confidence that the APC would record massive victories in Delta State during future elections, including the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Oborevwori.

Solomon added that the organization would continue to mobilize support for all APC candidates from the presidency to the National Assembly and State House of Assembly elections.
