Social commentator, GehGeh, has raised serious allegations against officers of the Delta State Police Command, accusing them of repeated cases of brutality and excessive use of force.
In a viral video circulating on X (formerly Twitter), GehGeh condemned what he described as a disturbing pattern of misconduct by police operatives in the state, referencing both a reported fatal incident and his personal encounter with officers.
He alleged that on March 31, police officers pursued a young man who reportedly ran into a river while attempting to evade arrest.
According to him, the officers followed the suspect into the water but later abandoned the chase, resulting in the man drowning.
He further claimed that the incident was not properly addressed despite public outcry.
GehGeh also alleged that in a separate case, officers shot a man in broad daylight in Delta State, describing the victim as unarmed and already restrained at the time of the shooting.
He questioned the conduct of the officers involved and called for accountability.
Expressing concern over what he described as rising impunity, the social commentator suggested that some officers act without fear of consequences.

He claimed officers opened fire near their vehicle without provocation.
The allegations have triggered reactions online, with many users calling for a thorough investigation into the conduct of police officers in Delta State and broader reforms to ensure accountability.
Authorities are yet to officially respond to the claims.
