Nigerian international striker Victor Osimhen has been drawn into a legal dispute involving German automobile giant Mercedes-Benz over an alleged unpaid debt estimated at €90,000.

According to Italian outlet Napolista, the issue stems from a vehicle leasing agreement entered into by the Super Eagles forward in 2023.

The report claims that Osimhen failed to complete payments tied to the deal and did not return the vehicle at the end of the contract period.

Further details from Corriere della Sera indicate that the debt represents nearly the full value of the car, a hybrid GLE model.

The situation has reportedly escalated, with representatives of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Italia filing a formal complaint with Italian law enforcement authorities.

The complaint was lodged at the Crescenzago Carabinieri station in Milan, where the company accused the footballer of embezzlement linked to the leasing agreement.

The financial services arm of the automaker alleges that Osimhen defaulted on the agreed installment payments and failed to return the vehicle upon expiration of the contract.

As of the time of filing this report, neither Osimhen nor his representatives have publicly responded to the allegations.

The development adds a legal dimension to the off-pitch affairs of the high-profile striker, who remains one of Nigeria’s most prominent football exports.
