The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released a revised timetable and schedule of activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, outlining key dates for screening, primaries, and appeals.
The updated schedule, dated April 27, 2026, was signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, and confirmed by National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
According to the statement issued from the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, the revised timetable aligns with the provisions of the 1999 constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act, 2026, and guidelines set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The schedule indicates that the notice of election was issued to state chapters on April 20, 2026, while the submission of completed nomination forms and accompanying documents is slated for early May.
Screening of aspirants for various positions including State Houses of Assembly, House of Representatives, Senate, governorship, and presidential tickets will take place between May 6 and May 9.
Publication of screening results is expected on May 11, followed by appeals from May 12 to May 13.
Primary elections for different offices will be conducted between May 15 and May 25, with the presidential primary scheduled for May 25, 2026.

The timetable also details costs for nomination and expression of interest forms across elective positions.
Governorship aspirants are required to pay a total of ₦50 million, while the presidential form is pegged at ₦100 million.
Fees for other positions vary, including ₦10 million for House of Representatives and ₦6 million for State House of Assembly aspirants.
The party noted that female aspirants, youths, and persons living with disabilities will receive concessions, paying only for the expression of interest form and 50 percent of the nomination fee.
APC further directed that all payments must be made directly into designated party bank accounts, emphasizing transparency and compliance with internal guidelines.
The release of the revised timetable signals the party’s early preparations for the 2027 polls, as political activities gradually intensify across the country.
