The management of Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, has dismissed reports of a prolonged water shortage at the facility, describing them as false and misleading.
In a statement issued on Friday, the hotel said the disruption lasted for only one day and was caused by emergency maintenance works carried out by the Federal Capital Territory Water Board.
According to the management, the maintenance exercise commenced on April 14, 2026, leading to a temporary interruption in supply.
The hotel, however, said it immediately activated contingency measures to ensure guests continued to have access to water, maintaining comfort and uninterrupted services.

It added that normal water supply was fully restored on April 15, contrary to claims circulating on social media.
“Since then, the hotel has maintained consistent and uninterrupted water supply and continues to operate at full capacity across all outlets,” the statement said.
The General Manager, Martin Zarybnicky, appreciated guests and stakeholders for their understanding, reaffirming the hotel’s commitment to high standards of hospitality and service delivery.
