The National Social Investment Programme Agency (NSIPA) has commenced the phased release of shortlisted beneficiaries for the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) FarmerMoni scheme, alongside the rollout of data verification for successful applicants.
According to the agency on Friday, the ongoing exercise is part of efforts to identify eligible small-scale traders and farmers across the country who will benefit from the ₦300,000 interest-free loan designed to support agricultural and micro-business growth.
The FarmerMoni programme, under GEEP, is targeted at empowering grassroots entrepreneurs by providing accessible financing to expand farming activities, strengthen small businesses, and promote economic inclusion nationwide.
NSIPA explained that the list of shortlisted beneficiaries is being released in batches to ensure a smooth verification process and proper documentation of all eligible participants.
As part of the verification requirements, applicants are expected to present key identification details, including their National Identification Number (NIN) slip, Bank Verification Number (BVN), and a valid phone number.
The agency noted that these requirements are necessary to confirm identity, prevent fraud, and ensure transparency in the selection process.
