Nigeria’s Super Eagles have landed in Antalya, Turkey, ahead of their international friendly matches against the Iran national football team and Jordan national football team during the March FIFA window.
The team’s camp officially opens on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, with players and officials beginning preparations for two crucial test fixtures regarded as key tune-ups for upcoming competitive engagements.
Originally scheduled to be held in Jordan, the matches were relocated to Turkey due to security concerns in the Middle East and logistical challenges affecting travel and coordination.
Nigeria will take on Iran on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. local time, before facing Jordan on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, also in Antalya.

The arrival signals the start of head coach Eric Chelle’s hands-on preparations with the squad, as attention shifts to evaluating player form, refining tactical setups, and strengthening team cohesion.
Early reports indicate that some backroom staff and players had already settled into camp ahead of the full squad’s arrival.
Beyond routine friendlies, the matches present a meaningful test against quality opposition, while also highlighting how regional instability can impact international football scheduling.
For Nigeria, the training camp in Turkey goes beyond exhibition games it represents an opportunity to fine-tune the squad, assess depth, and build momentum ahead of more demanding competitions.
