Nollywood actor Francis Odega has shared how the legendary Sam Loco Efe impacted both his career and personal life.
In an appearance on the ‘Where is the Lie’ podcast, Odega discussed their relationship, highlighting how Sam Loco significantly influenced his acting journey and work ethic in the film industry.
He mentioned that the late actor had a distinctive style, often deviating from the scripts as written. Odega would frequently follow Sam Loco to learn from him and improve his own acting skills.

Francis Odega stated: “Sam Loco taught me so much. He didn’t stick to the script; he would look at what was written and rephrase it.
“He was my mentor. I used to carry his bag and acted like his personal assistant just to learn, and I believe I gained a lot from it.
“He treated me like a son and would often refer to my wife as his daughter. Sometimes he would give me money, like N50,000, to give to my wife.
“Honestly, when I got home, I would only give her N10,000. She would ask if she could call him to thank him, and I would say, don’t worry, I’ve already thanked him. But I had already confessed to my wife…”
