Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has addressed growing rumours about his on-screen partnership with actress and reality television star Bambam, firmly denying claims that the two were romantically involved.
The speculation began circulating on social media after the pair appeared together in a recent film, prompting online conversations suggesting that their relationship went beyond their professional roles. The claims quickly drew attention because Bambam is married to fellow reality television star Teddy A.
Speaking in an interview with BBC Igbo, Arukwe clarified that the project marked the first time he had ever met Bambam. According to the actor, their interaction was strictly professional and limited to their roles during filming.
He explained that before filming any intimate scene, he sought reassurance that his actions on set would not create problems in Bambam’s marriage. Arukwe said he asked how he could approach the scenes in a way that would not offend her husband or cause tension at home.

The actor stressed that his intention was to show respect for Bambam’s personal life and avoid any misunderstanding outside the set. However, after the film was released, online rumours began suggesting that the two actors had developed a romantic relationship and were involved in an affair.
Arukwe described the claims as completely false and expressed surprise at how quickly the speculation spread across social media platforms. He reiterated that he had only met Bambam through the film and that their relationship never extended beyond the professional environment.
The controversy has continued to generate conversation among fans of Nollywood, where on-screen chemistry between actors often sparks rumours about their real-life relationships.
Despite the speculation, Arukwe maintained that there was no romantic involvement between him and Bambam, emphasizing that their collaboration was purely work-related.
