Renowned gospel artist Taiwo Adegbodu, popularly known as SirTee, has reportedly passed away.

Social media posts, particularly on Facebook, indicate that the gospel minister, who was one half of a twin, died during the night. The news has left fans and followers in disbelief.

A Facebook fan page dedicated to the twins shared the tragic news, along with an emotional tribute that has quickly gained traction online.

“TAIWO, why did you leave me and the kids without a word? My heart is shattered. Lord, how am I supposed to manage without him? God, why? This is too much for me to handle!!!”

This poignant message has led to an outpouring of grief on social media, with many users mourning the singer and offering prayers for his family’s strength.

Numerous fellow gospel musicians have also taken to social media to express their sorrow over his death.

This tragic news follows the recent passing of another gospel minister, Bunmi Akinaanu, known as Omije Ojumi, who died after an illness that reportedly began in 2025.

Fans are still reeling from this latest loss, describing Taiwo’s death as a deep sorrow.

Recognized for his fusion of traditional and contemporary gospel music, his passing represents a significant loss for the Nigerian gospel music scene.
