The Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Dennis Otuaro, has described the visit of the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, to the Warri Kingdom in Delta State as a development that complements the policy direction of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Otuaro made the remarks on Thursday while congratulating the first lady on her one-day visit to the oil-rich kingdom, saying the trip was significant for the government and people of Delta State.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media, Igoniko Oduma, the PAP boss said stakeholders and beneficiaries of the programme were confident that the first lady’s presence in Warri would further strengthen efforts aimed at sustaining peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta region.
According to him, the first lady represents national peace and unity, which he described as central to President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Otuaro also commended her humanitarian interventions under the Renewed Hope Initiative, noting that the platform has continued to provide support to vulnerable Nigerians across the country.
He said that “the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator (Chief) Oluremi Tinubu, is a kind and empathetic leader, and it takes a generous heart to be able to do the good things Her Excellency is doing to uplift humanity through her Renewed Hope Initiative.

The PAP administrator further stated that the Renewed Hope Initiative aligns with Gov.Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda, which he said is targeted at the strategic development of Delta State.
He added that the first lady’s visit would remain memorable for many residents of the state, describing her as a notable daughter of the soil whose achievements would continue to inspire Deltans.
Otuaro disclosed that since assuming office in March 2024, the PAP under his leadership has deployed over 9,000 students to universities within and outside Nigeria to pursue various industry-relevant courses.
The PAP was established in 2009 as part of the federal government’s response to militancy in the Niger Delta, with a mandate to disarm, rehabilitate, and reintegrate former agitators.
