President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday decorated Tunji Disu as the Acting Inspector-General of Police at the State House, Abuja, following the sudden resignation of Kayode Egbetokun.

The brief ceremony, held around 4 p.m. in the President’s office, was attended by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume; and other senior government officials.

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned the arraignment of former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, to April 23.

The case, instituted by the Department of State Services (DSS), accuses El-Rufai of unlawful interception of a telephone conversation following remarks he made during a television interview.
