The driver, Ebuka Dominion, from Aguta Local Government Area of Anambra State, and the motor boy, Emmanuel Terdule, from Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, were arrested at the scene.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the consignment was allegedly meant for distribution within and outside the state.

Acting on information obtained during interrogation, the police arrested one Peter Etim Akpan, from Nibiaya Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, who was alleged to be the owner of the drugs.

Police said the investigation was ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the syndicate.

In a separate operation on February 22, 2026, at about 3:20 pm, operatives of the CP Special Assignment Team arrested a 23-year-old suspect, Collins Darlington, in connection with a series of robbery incidents in Warri metropolis.
