The Nigeria Police Force has announced dates for the physical and credential screening of candidates in its ongoing constable recruitment exercise, directing applicants to report between March 9 and April 18, 2026.
In a statement signed by Torty Njoku Kalu, Spokesman of the Commission, on Tuesday, the Police Service Commission said all candidates who successfully completed the online registration are to log on to the recruitment portal — npfapplication.psc.gov.ng — to confirm their status and print required documents ahead of the screening.
According to the Commission, applicants must present the following documents at their designated screening centres on the date and time indicated on their invitation slips: Guarantors Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form and Physical Screening Form.
The Commission further listed additional items to be presented during the exercise, including the Invitation Slip bearing the assigned table number, original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’ Level certificate (GCE/SSCE), birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government/State of Origin certificate.
Specialist applicants are also required to provide relevant trade test certificates, while all candidates must submit a duly completed and signed guarantors form, with attached photocopies and passport photographs of referees.
Applicants are expected to package original and duplicate copies of their credentials in two separate white flat files, each with recent passport photographs attached.

The screening will be conducted at designated centres across the 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, as specified on individual invitation printouts.
Candidates have also been directed to appear at the screening venues dressed in white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts and white stockings.
Chairman of the Commission, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge and does not require any financial commitment from applicants.
He warned candidates to steer clear of fraudsters and online impostors seeking to exploit the exercise for financial gain, stressing that anyone found engaging in fraudulent activities would be arrested and prosecuted.
