The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has unveiled the staging of the 2026 President Beach Volleyball Cup, a flagship national tournament designed to promote high-level competition, nurture young talents, and strengthen beach volleyball development across the country.
The championship is scheduled to run from February 12 to 18, 2026, at the Murtala Mohammed Square, Kaduna, and will feature events in the senior men and women categories, alongside the Under-17 boys and girls competitions.
The federation said the inclusion of both senior and youth categories underscores its commitment to grassroots development while creating a clear pathway for athletes to progress to elite levels.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by the chairman of the NVBF Media and Publicity Committee, the federation noted that the tournament will bring together leading beach volleyball players, promising young athletes, coaches, referees, and other key stakeholders from across Nigeria for a week of intense competition and sportsmanship.

The federation added that the competition aligns with its long-term strategy of spreading volleyball development across all regions, improving athlete exposure, and promoting gender balance by ensuring equal opportunities for male and female participants.
The tournament will also serve as a talent identification platform for future national team selections, further contributing to the growth and competitiveness of beach volleyball in the country.
The NVBF called on state associations, clubs, schools, sponsors, media partners, and volleyball enthusiasts to support and participate in the championship, which promises thrilling matches and professional organisation.
The Nigeria Volleyball Federation reaffirmed its commitment to advancing volleyball excellence, developing young athletes, and positioning Nigeria as a formidable force in beach volleyball at both African and global levels.
