Faithia celebrated her 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5, and held a lavish party on Sunday, February 8, attended by prominent figures from Nollywood, including Malaika, Funke Akindele, Pasuma, Kazim Adeoti, Regina Chukwu, Fausat Balogun, and Shaffy Bello.

Shortly after the party, Faithia announced on her official social media accounts that her mother had passed away the night before the celebration.

She revealed that her family had chosen to keep the news from her until after the event.

In her post, Faithia expressed: “Dear friends, I celebrated my 55th birthday on Thursday, February 5, and held a party yesterday, Sunday.

“Unbeknownst to me, my beloved mother passed away on the eve of my party, and the news was cruelly withheld from me.

“I am still coming to terms with her loss, as she was my cheerleader, prayer warrior, best friend, and confidante, all wrapped in the precious gift of motherhood.”

She also mentioned that the family would keep matters private during this time and that details regarding the burial would be shared later.
