Dr. Samson Isibor, the National Chairman of the Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP) has assured Nigerians that there will be no room for rigging in 2027 as votes will count.

“Once bitten twice shy. Your lamentation will stop once you know what to do in 2027. All of us will get ready. No matter what they say they will give you during the election you can take it but don’t vote wrongly. The masses of Edo State have suffered enough, our state is behind other states unless we are deceiving ourselves.

“The power is in our hands now for 2027. We will use it according to our conscience, according to what we get from this government – both the state and the federal. Nobody can bamboozle us. Thanks to President Donald Trump of the US. He is a God sent person. They’ll monitor the election. They won’t allow anyone to tamper with our votes. Our votes will count,” he stated.

Reacting to the alleged claim of the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that the party has no opposition in Edo State, he posited: “They (APC) are just joking. CRPP is the main opposition. The masses of this state are the main opposition to them. Right from day one that this governor (Monday Okpebholo) came in there has been nothing.

“The masses have been waiting to see if he has anything on the table. So there is opposition to him and his party, APC. Is it because they have pocketed PDP that they’re saying they don’t have opposition? We’re existing. We’re the opposition organization against them because we have seen nothing that they have done. Let election come up today if they will not know that they have opposition

On the boast of securing 3.5 million votes for President Tinubu in the 2027 Presidential Election. Isibor said: “That’s a big joke. They’re trying to satisfy their masters in Abuja so that they will be getting more patronage. Where will Tinubu get that?! He can’t even get more than 10,000 votes in Edo State. Are we up to 3.5million voters in Edo State?

“Come 2027 Tinubu will not get more than 10,000 votes in Edo State. With what is going on, killing here and there, insecurity etc. Since he came the masses have not gained anything like the Edo State Governor. Where will they see 3.5m votes? 3.5m votes my foot! They won’t get up to that! Glory be to God if they can get 10,000 votes! They’re just trying to cajole their man in Abuja to drop more public funds for them.

“They’re setting up ambassadors. Ambassadors for nothing. We, the masses are ambassadors of ourselves. We can never continue to suffer like this in the midst of plenty. Been killed every day where we say we’re secured. Two days ago over a hundred and eighty citizens of this country were mowed down and we have a Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces.

“If not for the support from the US these terrorists would have overrun the country. So, what are we talking about? Tinubu’s government is a disaster. We have not gained anything from him. The masses are suffering. You see the way people are dying every day. When you are sick you had better go back to your village and take concoction because for more than three months now no medical facility. They’re not working. People are dying day by day. People are suffering beyond comprehension.

“Tinubu cannot win in 2027 unless they do their usual ‘mago mago’. It will not work this time around. The masses are waiting for them. Go to the Ring Road or inside the market. You can’t mention Tinubu there. You cannot force Tinubu on us. Their governor is not performing. He is the worst governor in the federation. Since he came into office two years ago he has done nothing substantial.

“You’re dangling fanciful projects in our face, building skyscraper bridges. You want to . What concerns Edo people with airlines? The masses don’t even see roads to pass. Is it in the air that they’ll see roads? Can they afford air fares? Airlines are for politicians and the rich people.

“Why is he going there? Where he’s supposed to concentrate on is those abandoned industries that dot everywhere. Okpebholo and Tinubu can never come back. If there’s a free and fair election, a level playing ground they can never come back.

Speaking on the movement of state governors from different political platforms to the APC.

“They don’t have the consent of their constituents before taking their action. It is for their own selfish purpose. The masses are not with them. They know that if there’s a free and fair election they cannot win. They need people who will boost their chances by rigging. If the election is free and fair half of them will not come back to office. There’s insecurity. People are migrating to Nigeria from different countries to come and kill us.”

On the issue of electronic transmission of election results. “They have pocketed the issue of electronic transmission of election results. With or without electronic transmission of election results in 2027, Nigerians are waiting for them. If I die in a war it will be better than dying as a coward.

“In Edo State only a few people, a clique, are benefitting from the state government. They give their wives, children juicy appointments. In spite of all these nothing is working in the state. What’s so absurd is the money that the governor gave to UBTH (University of Benin Teaching Hospital) headed by Pastor Ize Iyamu’s wife. Why did he give her ₦2.5b while we’re suffering in the state?

“If it had happened in another clime the governor would have been arrested. Whereas the federal government has so much money that they don’t know how to spend it you are now donating to UBTH. That money can be utilized for many things in Edo State – employ many youths; create many jobs; do agriculture etc which we have been telling the governor. He went to Ekiti State to go and learn how they’re doing there. He didn’t implement it here.”
