President Donald Trump has issued a warning to comedian Trevor Noah, threatening legal action over a joke made during the 68th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night.
Noah referenced the controversial Epstein files, which have been linked to Trump’s presidency, and also criticized CBS News for suppressing some of Trump’s opponents.
In a post on Truth Social early Monday, Trump labeled the Grammys as “the WORST, virtually unwatchable,” and expressed disdain for CBS for broadcasting the event, stating that the network is “fortunate not to have this garbage cluttering their airwaves any longer” before Disney takes over the broadcasting rights.
Trump wrote: “The Grammy Awards are the WORST, virtually unwatchable! CBS is lucky not to have this garbage cluttering their airwaves any longer.

“The host, Trevor Noah, whoever he may be, is nearly as bad as Jimmy Kimmel at the Low Ratings Academy Awards. Noah incorrectly claimed that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!!”
The president asserted that he has never been to the island and threatened to sue the South African comedian if he doesn’t “get his facts straight quickly.”
Noah, who has been hosting the awards since 2021, made several jokes at Trump’s expense.
After the song of the year award, he remarked: “Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants … almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. It makes sense, because with Epstein’s island gone, he needs a new island to hang out with (former US President) Bill Clinton.”
