Street-hop artist, Portable has claimed that some of Nigeria’s most prominent music figures have monopolized the industry for more than a decade, restricting opportunities for new artists.
He stated that these established stars have overshadowed emerging talents for years.
Additionally, he accused them of inflating their wealth and lifestyles to shape public perception.

Portable pointed out that long-standing stars like Wizkid, Olamide, Davido, and Burna Boy have maintained their dominance for years, making it challenging for new artists to emerge.
He also suggested that some luxury items showcased by these celebrities are often gifts rather than personal purchases.
“Wizkid, Olamide, Davido, and Burna Boy have been at the top for over 10 years, blocking the path for other artists to rise… they also tend to exaggerate; they might claim they bought a chain for a billion dollars, when in reality, it could have been given to them for free,” he said.
