Head coach of the Super Eagles, Eric Chelle, has expressed uncertainty regarding his future with the national team following their semi-final loss to Morocco in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria was eliminated from the tournament on Wednesday after a 4–2 defeat in a penalty shootout against Morocco in Rabat, following a goalless draw in extra time.
The Super Eagles will now compete against Egypt in the third-place match on Saturday.
In his post-match comments, Chelle stated that he is unsure what decision will be made regarding his position after the tournament.
He mentioned that he is still the coach for the time being, but his future will hinge on the decisions made by the football authorities.
