The Founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov has announced that he is prepared to fully finance IVF treatments for women under 38 who want to conceive using his sperm.
The 41-year-old billionaire, whose net worth is estimated at $17 billion, claims to have fathered over 100 children through sperm donation, in addition to having six children with three partners.
Durov began donating sperm in 2010 to assist a friend who was having difficulty conceiving and continued after fertility specialists alerted him to a shortage of healthy donor sperm.
He views his actions as a civic responsibility aimed at combating declining sperm counts and reducing the stigma surrounding sperm donation.
In interviews, Durov stated that he does not differentiate between children conceived naturally and those conceived through donation, emphasizing that all of them will inherit a portion of his estate once they can prove a genetic link to him.

He has also attributed the global decline in sperm counts to environmental issues, such as plastic pollution.
Reports indicate that Durov’s sperm was offered for free at a fertility clinic in Moscow, with IVF expenses covered for qualified women.
Although, he no longer donates directly, samples are still preserved at the Altravita Clinic and are available to unmarried women aged 37 or younger, subject to rigorous screening and legal guidelines.
Durov mentioned that his previous donations have assisted couples in over 12 countries in having children, and he plans to make his DNA information available so that his biological children can connect with each other in the future.
