In light of the ongoing controversies surrounding the late artist Mohbad, his father has provided a thorough explanation regarding a viral audio involving Cynthia Adebanjo, who previously claimed to be expecting his child.
In a recorded statement, Mohbad’s father categorically denied that any traditional wedding occurred, asserting that he only attended an introduction ceremony. “When my son was alive and Cynthia claimed she was pregnant, I thought it was important to formally meet her family,” he stated.
He described attending the introduction with a friend and being taken aback that outfits had already been prepared for him without his measurements. “Upon arriving at the venue, I noticed many of the lady’s family members present. We completed the introduction, and I met my son’s father-in-law for the first time. However, I am astonished to hear claims that a traditional wedding took place without my knowledge or the presence of the family head. Who received the bride price?” he asked.

He explained that Mohbad had initially intended to formalize the marriage but later retracted his decision after alleging that Cynthia had been unfaithful. “He said he caught her with another man and informed his friend Myson, as well as his older sibling and mother, before finally telling me. That was the reason he called off the wedding plans,” he elaborated.
Mohbad’s father mentioned that these circumstances led him to request a DNA test to verify the child’s parentage. “And that is one of the reasons I am asking for a DNA test,” he stated.
