Imeh Bishop Umoh has penned an open letter to President Bola Tinubu, urging him to take legal action against Sheikh Gumi for terrorism.
Sheikh Ahmed Gumi, an Islamic cleric from northern Nigeria, has been known to engage in negotiations with terrorists and advocate for them.
In light of the rising banditry in the country, actor Imeh Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, has called for Gumi’s prosecution for terrorism.
The actor expressed his views on Instagram, stating, “Sheikh Gumi is a clear supporter of banditry. It is obvious to everyone that there is a significant lack of courage to arrest, investigate, and ultimately prosecute and convict Sheikh Gumi if he is found guilty of terrorism.
“According to El-Rufai, the only repentant terrorist is a dead one, and I completely agree. Eliminate them all! Save Nigeria!!

He continued, “While there may be political pressures from influential figures, does that really matter at this point? Let those influential figures be held accountable. Let there be consequences. It’s a small price to pay for the safety of our roads, farmlands, and communities, as well as for the security of our churches and places of worship.
“Our country is on the brink of collapse. Let’s salvage what remains of this already crumbling nation and restore it to its former glory. Mr. President, I believe you can do this. I hope you will.”
