Calas Vegas band wins 2025 Carnival Calabar 2nd dry run

Calas Vegas Band has been adjudged the winner of the 2025 Carnival Calabar 2nd Dry Run (senior category) with 8.44 points.

The second and third positions went to Diamond Band and Masta Blasta with 8.33 points and 8.06 points, respectively.

The results, which were released by the Cross River State Carnival Commission, featured seven competing bands with the theme: “Traces of Time.”

The results were signed by the Chief Adjudicator, Arnold Udoaka, and they reflected the judges’ scores across three adjudication panels, Botanical, Scorpio, and MCC.

All seven competing bands were Calais Vegas, Diamond band, Masta Blasta, Seagulls, Freedom band, Passion 4, and Bay Side band.

The results were as follows: Calas Vegas, 8.44 points (1st); Diamond Band, 8.33 points (2nd); Masta Blasta, 8.06 points (3rd); Freedom Band, 7.94 points (4th); Passion 4, 7.9 points (5th); Seagull, 7.89 points (6th), and Bay Side, 7.56 points, (7th).
