Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has issued a stern warning to well-known matchmaker and social media figure Kehinde Adams, also known as Lege Miami, regarding disrespectful remarks made about his deceased father.
Lege Miami had criticized several Super Eagles players on social media after Nigeria’s failure to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. While he praised players like Victor Osimhen, Benjamin Fredrick, and Calvin Bassey, he specifically targeted Nwabali and others for criticism. His comments about Nwabali’s late father prompted the goalkeeper to respond strongly.
In a message posted on his Instagram Stories, Nwabali stated, “Lege Miami, keep my late father’s name out of your content. If you can’t respect people’s fathers, at least respect the deceased. I’m not your average footballer; I will confront you fiercely. You can insult me, but do not mention my late father’s name.”

In reply, Lege Miami addressed Nwabali on his Instagram story, apologizing for the comment about Nwabali’s father but calling the goalkeeper “rude.”
He said, “Hello, Mr. Goalkeeper. If mentioning your late father’s name upset you, I apologize, but you are quite rude to your teammates. You want to dominate the pitch and refuse to accept corrections. When corrected, you act like a big shot. Your antics on the field are excessive. Are you the only goalkeeper in Nigeria? You make many mistakes, and we are trying to help you. You have no right to insult me in my DMs. Who do you think you are, Nwabali?”
