The Federal High Court in Lagos has issued a temporary forfeiture order for a nightclub owned by Mike Nwalie, also known as Pretty Mike, amid claims that the location was used for the storage and distribution of drugs.
Justice Musa Kakaki approved the order on Tuesday after considering an ex parte motion brought by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) counsel, Mr. Buhari Abdulahi.
The property, located at No. 7 Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island, operating as Proxy Lagos Night Club, was accused of storing and distributing 169 cylinders (384.662 kilograms) of nitrous oxide, frequently called laughing gas, along with 200 grams of cannabis sativa.
The NDLEA reported that the nightclub is co-owned by Pretty Mike and Joachim Hillary, who allegedly used the premises as a base for preparing a “large-scale drug party.”
In an affidavit sworn to by Deputy Commander Nasiru Bungudu of the NDLEA, credible intelligence was received in October about plans for a significant drug event at the club.

Acting on this information, the operatives raided the venue around midnight on October 26, 2025, confiscating the drugs and arresting over 200 individuals, including the two respondents.
Laboratory tests later confirmed the seized items were controlled drugs.
The agency also claimed the club had a history of similar drug activities, conducted with the owners’ knowledge and approval.
Following review of the evidence, Justice Kakaki approved the NDLEA’s request, ordering the temporary forfeiture of the nightclub to the federal government and suspending all operations at the venue.
The case was scheduled to resume on January 28, 2026, for further proceedings.
