Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to deepening the dividends of democracy across the state as he interfaced with more than seven political groups and associations in Damaturu.
The meeting, as gathered by The Trumpet, aimed at strengthening relationships and reviewing the achievements of the administration, was held on Wednesday.
In his address, the Deputy Governor appreciated members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for their steadfast support, which he said has contributed greatly to the successes recorded by the present administration.
He urged APC members to intensify efforts in educating and sensitizing voters to participate in the ongoing voter registration exercise. Gubana also reminded citizens of the importance of immunization, particularly for children and pregnant women.
While acknowledging the relative peace enjoyed in the state, he called on residents to remain security conscious and to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to security agencies.

The groups and associations present included the Arewa Traders Association, Keep Napep, Harmonised Traders Association, Organised Trade Association, Coalition of G30 Support Organisations, Trabalga Association, and Mai Mala Boys.
In their separate remarks, leaders of the various groups including Isa Adamu, Umaru Barau, Muhammad Muktar Kime, Mu’azu Bawa, Abdulwahab Abubakar Diyar, Mustapha Machina, and Ali Hassan reaffirmed their loyalty to governor Buni’s administration.
They pledged to continue supporting government policies and programmes and to mobilize citizens to participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
