A political advocacy group, Ekueme for Sheriff 2027, has lauded the leadership strides of Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, and his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, describing their administration as a model of purposeful governance.

The commendation was contained in a goodwill message signed by the group’s leader and Chairman of the Delta State Rural Development Agency (RDA), Smart Meka, in celebration of Nigeria’s Independence Day.

According to the group, the Oborevwori-led government has continued to deliver on its promises through “visible achievements” in critical sectors such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth development, while maintaining close ties with communities across the state.

It further stressed that the governor’s commitment to the MORE Agenda—with its pillars of inclusivity, accountability, and transparency—has given fresh hope to citizens and reinforced unity in the multi-ethnic state.

“The seamless partnership between the governor and his deputy stands as a symbol of progress, ensuring that governance is not only about policies but about genuine service to the people,” the group noted.

Ekueme for Sheriff 2027 also used the occasion to felicitate Nigerians, urging them to reflect on the values of unity and resilience that bind the nation together.

The group expressed optimism that Delta, under Oborevwori and Onyeme, would continue to stand out as a shining example of peace, growth, and responsive governance in Nigeria.
