President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences over the death of Ms. Somtochukwu Maduagwu, a news anchor for Arise News Television, who was killed during a robbery at her home in Katampe, Abuja.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the president referred to Maduagwu’s death as a tragic loss for her family, the Nigerian media, and the country as a whole.

“Ms. Maduagwu was a talented journalist whose life was unjustly taken in a brutal and reprehensible way,” he stated.
Tinubu instructed security and law enforcement agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident, capture those responsible, and ensure they are brought to justice promptly.
