The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has provided much-needed relief materials to households affected by recent windstorm and flood disasters in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The intervention, coordinated by the Kaduna Operations Office, was aimed at easing the hardship faced by victims whose homes and livelihoods were badly hit.

Leading the direct distribution exercise, Head of NEMA Operations Office Kaduna, Malam Suleiman Muhammad, assured residents that the agency remains committed to standing by disaster-affected communities. He was joined by staff of the agency, community leaders, and government officials who supervised the process to ensure fairness and transparency.

The relief package included essential food supplies such as bags of rice, maize, cartons of vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, bags of salt, cartons of spaghetti, and tomato paste. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the support, describing it as a lifeline at a time of serious difficulty.

Representatives of Senator Lawal Adamu Usman, who represents Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, were also present at the event. In his goodwill message, Senator Usman praised NEMA and its Director General, Mrs. Zubaida Umar, for their swift and timely response to the plight of victims in Kajuru. He noted that the intervention would go a long way in reducing the burden on affected families.
