Three people have been confirmed dead and several others severely injured following a multiple-vehicle collision on the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway on Tuesday, the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has announced.
LASTMA, in a statement released on its official X handle on Wednesday, said the accident occurred close to the secretariat axis, outbound towards the Otedola Bridge, an area notorious for frequent crashes and heavy traffic.
The agency revealed that three vehicles were involved in the fatal collision, while emergency responders from the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) arrived promptly at the scene to administer urgent medical care to the injured victims.

It added that efforts are currently underway to clear the wreckage and restore normal traffic flow.
The agency further cautioned motorists to drive with care and obey traffic directives when approaching the corridor.
