Interestingly, this seismic event occurred just hours after the Oscars wrapped up at the Dolby Theatre, with reports of the shaking even interrupting a live stream of a Vanity Fair after party held at the nearby Wallis Annenberg Center.
Many attendees at the exclusive Governors Ball after party, also noted the unusual shaking.
This earthquake is one of several that have affected California in 2025, following a series of quakes in the Malibu area, and near Hayward earlier in the year.
More than 9, 000 individuals reported feeling the tremor using the USGS “Did you feel it?” tool, highlighting the widespread experience of the event.
