Fresh controversy has emerged over the marriage between Nigerian music star 2Baba and his wife, Natasha Osawaru, following an alleged confrontation between the couple at an Abuja nightclub.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday, August 7, 2026, at Faze’s 90s Lounge at Trukadero, where 2Baba was scheduled to perform.

Key Highlights
2Baba and Natasha Osawaru were reportedly involved in an incident at an Abuja nightclub.

An eyewitness claimed Natasha went to the venue after learning that 2Baba would perform there.

A source linked to 2Baba’s management alleged a more serious confrontation involving security personnel.

Claims that there was an attempted abduction have not been independently confirmed.

2Baba was later photographed meeting Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu.

Reports that 2Baba unfollowed Natasha on Instagram have further fuelled speculation.

Neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru has publicly confirmed that their marriage has ended.

According to an eyewitness identified on X as @wahalaMann, Natasha went to the venue after learning that 2Baba would be performing there.

The eyewitness claimed that Natasha had allegedly been unable to reach or see the singer for some time amid reported tension in their relationship.

When 2Baba arrived at the venue, Natasha allegedly approached his vehicle and insisted that she wanted to speak with him.

The eyewitness claimed she repeatedly identified herself as 2Baba’s wife and requested an opportunity to speak with him.

According to the account, 2Baba eventually intervened to calm the situation and brought Natasha into the club.

 Management Source Gives Different Account

A separate account attributed to a senior member of 2Baba’s management team presented a more serious version of the alleged incident.

The management source claimed that Natasha arrived with security personnel and a group of men whom the source described as thugs.

The source further alleged that there was an attempt to abduct 2Baba.

The same source reportedly claimed that 2Baba and Natasha had been separated for more than two months before the alleged confrontation.

Meanwhile, another version of the incident circulating online claimed that Natasha arrived with about 20 men and that 2Baba’s manager contacted the police for assistance.

The account also alleged that 2Baba privately told Natasha that he was no longer interested in continuing their relationship and wanted the union called off.

It was further claimed that Natasha disagreed and allegedly attempted to get the singer into her vehicle before 2Baba’s manager and entourage intervened.

However, these specific claims have not been independently verified.

2Baba Meets Police Chief After Incident

The controversy intensified after 2Baba was photographed with Inspector-General of Police Olatunji Rilwan Disu hours after the reported nightclub incident.

Rather than directly addressing the allegations surrounding his marriage, 2Baba said the meeting with the IGP focused on community policing and the need to strengthen trust between Nigerians and security agencies.

The timing of the meeting nevertheless triggered reactions online, with fans and social media users linking it to the reported incident involving Natasha.

There is currently no independent confirmation that the meeting was connected to the alleged nightclub confrontation.

## Instagram Unfollow Fuels Marriage Speculation
Another development that has fuelled speculation was a report that 2Baba unfollowed Natasha on Instagram following the alleged confrontation.

A video also surfaced online showing a woman identified as Natasha at an Abuja nightclub wearing a black veil and dark sunglasses, further drawing attention to the events of the night.

The video and social media reports have generated renewed discussion about the relationship between the singer and his wife.

However, the reports circulating online have not established independently that the alleged nightclub confrontation was connected to any decision to end the marriage.

2Baba, Natasha Yet To Confirm Marriage Status

Despite the growing speculation, neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru has publicly confirmed that their marriage has ended.

The claims that 2Baba wanted the marriage called off, that Natasha arrived with about 20 men and that there was an attempted abduction remain allegations attributed to sources and accounts circulating online.

The developing controversy has nevertheless raised fresh questions about the state of the couple’s marriage, only weeks after their reported traditional wedding.

As of publication, there has been no confirmed public statement from either party providing a full account of what happened at the Abuja nightclub.
