A group under the auspices of the Progressives Network for Tinubu (PNT), has urged Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu for a second term to ensure the continuity of his administration beyond 2027.
The group said it is time for citizens to be part of the process of building a country they all can be proud of by getting involved in the electioneering process to re-elect Tinubu.
The group backed by the Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the call at a world press conference held at
the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) Press Centre, FCT Council Secretariat in Abuja.
Director General of the PNT, Pastor Olumide Obadele,
said the re-election of Tinubu in next year’s general elections would give him the time to consolidate on the transformational strides recorded by his administration in the last three years.
Obadele emphasised that the last three years of Tinubu’s administration have moved Nigeria from where it used to be, asserting that the country is presently on its way to where it ought to be.
He said major policies decisions had been taken in the best interest of the majority of Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora within the first term of the Tinubu administration.
The PNT director general said the administration’s economic policies, education programmes, infrastructure projects and redemption of Nigeria’s international image have restored the country’s lost glory and positioned it for accelerated development.
Obadele declared that the journey to Nigeria’s economic recovery under the present administration began when Tinubu announced the removal of fuel subsidy on May,29, 2023.
He said based on this action, many pundits had described Tinubu as a man on a mission following his bold and audacious removal of fuel subsidy.
Also, he said the president took another bold step by floating the naira as opposed to the fixed exchange rate, thereby allowing market forces to determine true value of the naira and bridging the gap between the official and black market rates.

Furthermore, he listed the education sector, the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), and the infrastructural projects being executed in various parts of the country, as the achievements recorded by the Tinubu administration to justify his re-election in 2027.
Similarly, the PNT director general pointed to the efforts of the Minister of Interior, Bunmi Tunji Ojo, in impacting positively on the nation’s international image.
“According to a recent Henley Passport Index, the Nigerian passport has experienced a notable improvement in its international standing movingfrom 103rd in 2025 to 89th in January, 2026 in the world; its highest position in several years.
“This in turn will allow visa-free access to 45 destinations. This improvement was credited to the Ministry of Interior’s digitalisation of the passport process including the adoption of polycarbonate technology and automated issuing.
“We urge Nigerians that all hands must be on deck to ensure the continuity of the Tinubu-led administration beyond 2027. It is time to be part of the process of building a Nigeria we all can be proud of by getting involved in the electioneering process to re-elect President Tinubu,” he said.
