A frontline House of Assembly aspirant for the Ngor Okpala State Constituency under the Action Peoples Party, Cajetan Duke, has said the people of the constituency need more than symbolic representation, stressing the need for strong and effective advocacy in government.
Speaking with journalists in Owerri, Duke explained that his ambition to represent Ngor Okpala in the State House of Assembly is driven by a commitment to restore visibility, relevance, and purposeful leadership for the constituency.
According to him, legislative responsibility should go beyond occupying political office and must focus on defending the welfare, dignity, and long-term interests of the people.
Duke noted that despite the human and economic potential of Ngor Okpala, the constituency continues to face challenges such as poor infrastructure, limited economic opportunities, and inadequate government attention in key sectors affecting residents.
