Two students of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area have been abducted by suspected kidnappers along the Ogwashi-Uku–Azagba Road.
The victims, both from the Department of Science Laboratory Technology, were reportedly attacked on Friday evening while on their way to Asaba in a Toyota saloon car.
Community sources said a female student, who is married, was driving her classmate when they were double-crossed by armed men at about 6:45 pm. and taken away.
“The lady, on the wheels, is married and was giving her classmate a ride to Asaba when the incident occurred.

“She was released on Sunday after a ransom of about N10 million was paid,” a source in the community told reporters.
The second victim, a male student, is still being held by the kidnappers as of the time of this report.
It was also gathered that the victims’ vehicle was recovered and is currently parked at the Ogwashi-Uku Divisional Police Station.
However, when contacted, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe, said he was not aware of the incident.
“I am not aware of this,” he said.
