A 50-year-old man identified as Yusuf Nadabo has died following the collapse of a well at Gargajiga Town in the Minjibir Local Government Area of Kano State.
Spokesperson of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif, who confirmed the incident in a statement on Saturday, said the sad incident occurred while the victims were re-digging and repairing the said well.
According to him, the deceased was said to be inside the well working alongside the two other victims, who were outside the well when the walls of the well suddenly caved in, trapping Nafabo inside.

He explained that the service recieved an emergency call on January, 9, 2025, at about 11:40 a.m from Bashir Namadi, who reported the incident.
He said on arrival at the scene, the service succeeded in extracting two people alive, while Nadabo was rescued unconscious and later confirmed death.
Yusif however, noted that all the victims were handed over to the ward head of Gargajiga Town.
