Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State has unveiled the Gajiram Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centre and conducted inspections of three ongoing projects, signalling a significant boost to infrastructure and technological development in the state.
Zulum’s visit to Gajiram commenced last week where he dedicated his time to coordinating both humanitarian and developmental initiatives, underlining his commitment to the progress of the state.
The newly inaugurated ICT centre, equipped with state-of-the-art internet facilities, has the capacity to host up to 300 trainees across various categories, including out-of-school children, adults, and local government personnel.
During the inauguration, Zulum emphasized the importance of collaboration with the National Board for Technical Education to ensure proper certification for program graduates, ensuring they receive a certificate of completion recognized nationally.
Accompanied by Engr Mohammed Kabir Wanori, Executive Secretary of Borno State Information and Communication Development Agency, Governor Zulum toured the facility, expressing his optimism about its potential to empower the local community through digital literacy and skills development.

Following the unveiling of the ICT centre, Governor Zulum proceeded to inspect three other projects in the area.
This, as noticed by our correspondent, included the revamped General Hospital in Gajiram and Mega High Islamic Colleges in both Gajiram and Gajiganna communities.
Each college is designed to accommodate 48 classrooms, along with administrative offices and other essential facilities.
Expressing satisfaction with the progress and quality of work, Zulum commended the contractors for adhering to project specifications and ensuring the timely delivery of these crucial infrastructure projects.
