Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, of Borno state has extended his heartfelt sympathies to Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, and the affected community in the aftermath of a terrorist attack in Mafa, Tarmuwa Local Government Area of Yobe State.
The attack, which occurred last Sunday, as noticed by The Trumpet, resulted in numerous fatalities, injuries, and significant property damage.
In a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday by the governor’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Abdulrahman Ahmed Bundi, the governor Zulum who condemned the attack, called for collective action in combating insecurity in the state and the northeast region at large.
“At times like this, it is crucial that we come together as a community to support one another.
My deepest condolences go out to the families who have lost loved ones and to those impacted by this senseless violence. Together, in sha Allah, we will overcome this challenge.” The governor stated.

He was also observed to have prayed for the victims, asking Almighty Allah to accept the souls of those who lost their lives and to prevent future tragedies.
As the chairman of the North East Governors Forum, he expressed sorrow that the attack occurred just as the region was achieving a significant level of peace.
He reassured the public that governments in the northeast would remain steadfast, continuing to work closely with security agencies to restore normalcy.
