In a bid to stabilise security, the Zamfara State Commissioner of Police, CP Kolo Yusuf, Thursday, patrolled the 100km Gusau – Talata Mafara – Sokoto Federal highway for on the spot assessment and supervision of operatives on the highway.
CP Yusuf during the patrol, visited joint operatives of Operation Hadarin Daji nipping point at opposite Zamfara State College of Education Maru, where he charged the personnel on security consciousness and professionalism.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Mohammed Shehu, in a statement said the Commissioner embarked on the patrol to ensure the safety of computers along the route.
Shehu further said some salient and strategic points along the highway were mapped out for fortification with operatives from the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), and conventional Police operatives.
He said, “In the course of the patrol, the commissioner of Police mapped out some Salient and strategic points along the highway which would be fortified with the deployment of operatives from the Police Mobile Force (PMF), Counter Terrorism Unit (CTU), and conventional Police operatives.

“During the patrol, the CP equally visited joint operatives of Operation Hadarin Daji nipping point at opposite Zamfara State College of Education Maru, where he charged the personnel to be security conscious of themselves and the community they are protecting.”
The Commissioner of Police also paid a courtesy visit on His Royal Highness the Emir of Mafara, Alhaji Dr Bello Mohammed Barmo, at his Palace in Talata Mafara.
He assured the Emir that, with the ongoing commitment and determination of the Police and other security agencies in the state, normalcy would be restored across the state.
He tasked members of the public on active intelligence sharing with Law Enforcement Agencies for effective policing of all spaces.
While returning from the patrol, CP Yusuf stopped by at 207 Quick Response Group, Nigerian Air Force Base, where he visited the Commander Mr D M Komo and solicited for harmonious working synergy among the security operatives for effective service delivery.
