The special adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring/Audit Engr. Goodnews Agbi has commended the contractor handling the project of the Delta State College of Medicine, Agbor for doing a job that agrees with the MORE AGENDA of the Delta State governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.
Engr Agbi together with the Project Monitoring and Audit team conducted an extensive site visit to different project sites in Agbor.
In a chat with the engineer at the construction site of the College of Medicine, Agbor, Engr. Agbi commended them for the standard of work in progress stating that work done so far is the type of standard the governor wants and it is in consonant with the MORE AGENDA.
He drew the attention of the engineer on site to some minor corrections and praised the contractor for good workmanship noting that the columns were in perfect alignment, the slump was perfect and it was in tandem with the slump test shown to him earlier on.
Agbi therefore advised them to maintain the mix ratio and ensure they invite the Project Monitoring/ Audit team when they have placed the formwork for inspection before pouring the first-floor concrete slab.
He emphasized the governor’s directive for projects to be completed on time and to high-quality standards.

Other projects inspected are the Orikeze Avenue Junction through Obi, Enumah and Uromi Roads to Orogodo River where he observed that the contractor was not on site, and asked the regional engineer, Engr. Nkem Chiadike about the possible reasons why the contractor is not at the project site.
Engr. Agbi noted that some progress has been made in some of the projects while certain challenges were encountered in some.
Responding to the Project Monitoring/Audit Engr. Nkem Chiadike, the Regional Engineer in charge of projects in Agbor informed the team that some of the contractors have not fully mobilized to site.
She asserted that most of the contractors were currently meeting with the Commissioner of Works and expressed optimism that the contractors not on site would soon mobilize to start work, she said.
