Yobe State now joins a select group of states, including Borno, with dedicated ministries focusing on livestock development. Recently, Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum, established a Ministry of Fishery and Livestock, appointing his deputy, Usman Umar Kadafur, to spearhead its activities.
The creation of Yobe’s Ministry of Livestock Development is expected to position the state as a leader in agricultural innovation. By focusing on livestock development, the ministry aims to attract investment, support farmers and herders, and enhance the overall economic outlook of the state.
