The Chairman of the Yobe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Mohammed Gadaka, has cautioned party members, especially political appointees to refrain from engaging in activities that can distract the Governor Mai Mala Buni administration from fulfilling its campaign promises.
The warning is coming in the heels of recent political moves by certain groups in the state, campaigning ahead of the 2027 elections.
Alhaji Gadaka emphasized that the current administration’s focus should remain on delivering good governance and meeting the needs of the people.
“Governor Mai Mala Buni has a four-year mandate in his second term to serve the people of Yobe State. His administration is committed to fulfilling its promises, and any form of distraction is unacceptable,” he stated.

Describing the early politicking by ambitious politicians in the state as premature and a threat to the unity and stability of the party, urging party members to prioritize the administration’s ongoing efforts to uplift the living standards of the people, rather than engaging in divisive activities.
The chairman who gave the directives via a statement, directed all party executives and appointees to desist from campaigning for the 2027 elections during official events.
He warned that punitive measures would be taken against anyone who violates the directive, adding that “such actions undermine the unity of purpose of Governor Buni’s administration and are unacceptable.
“We expect all party members to remain loyal and supportive as the government works to deliver on its mandate.”
