As the world marks World Food Day on October 16, 2025, attention is turning to one of Nigeria’s most anticipated agribusiness gatherings, the Agribusiness and Value Chain (AVC) Summit 2025, scheduled to hold from November 18 to 20 at the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, opposite the Central Bank Headquarters, Central Business District, Abuja.
Themed around food security, sustainability, and innovation, the summit promises to be a turning point for Nigeria’s agricultural and food systems, bringing together farmers, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and investors to explore new opportunities for growth and resilience in the sector.
The AVC Summit will feature a three-day lineup of conferences, exhibitions, paid workshops, and a collaboration hub; all designed to empower participants with knowledge, funding access, and practical tools to expand their agribusiness ventures. Attendees will also gain insights into export opportunities, sustainable farming practices, and new value chain innovations transforming food production across Africa.
Speaking on the event, organizer Adesola Debbie Daramola, founder Adesewa Concept, expressed optimism that this year’s summit would bridge the gap between small-scale producers and institutional investors while addressing challenges such as food waste, poor infrastructure, and limited access to finance.
