Wolves have acquired defender Jackson Tchatchoua from Serie A club Hellas Verona for 12.5 million euros (£10.8 million) on a five-year contract.
The Cameroon international is capable of playing as a right-back or wing-back and was recognized as the fastest player in Serie A last season, achieving an average top speed of 34.88 km/h.
Wolves reported that the 23-year-old reached a peak speed of 36.3 km/h during the previous season.
In comparison, Tottenham’s Micky van de Ven was the fastest player in the Premier League for the 2024-25 season, hitting a top speed of 37.1 km/h, and he holds the league record at 37.38 km/h.

Tchatchoua began his career at Belgian club Charleroi before spending a year on loan at Hellas Verona, where he later signed permanently in 2024.
In the last season, he scored two goals and provided three assists in 37 appearances for Hellas.
He is the fifth signing for Wolves this transfer window, following the permanent acquisition of forward Jorgen Strand Larsen for £23 million after a successful loan, along with forward Fer Lopez for £19 million, winger Jhon Arias for £15 million, and defender David Moller Wolfe for £10 million.
