Nigerian Afrobeats artist Ayodeji Balogun, known as Wizkid, has mocked his fellow musician Davido after his album, Morayo, was named Apple Music’s most streamed album of 2025 in Sub-Saharan Africa.
Morayo surpassed Davido’s album, 5ive, which is in second place.
Prior to his album’s release, Davido had claimed that it would outshine all previous albums, a statement many interpreted as a dig at Wizkid, who had also launched an album around the same time.
“Album go swallow album,” Davido had confidently stated in Pidgin.

After Morayo was recognized as the top Sub-Saharan African album of the year on Apple Music, Wizkid seemed to take a shot at Davido in a recent tweet that referenced Davido’s earlier claim.
Wizkid tweeted, “Dem say album go swallow album dem dey ground dey smell now!”
Many interpreted his tweet as a direct jab at Davido, raising concerns among fans that it might reignite their social media feud.
As of now, Davido has not responded.
