Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid has had a career that spans over ten years, with music that resonates across multiple continents. His international breakthrough came in 2016 when he collaborated on Drake’s hit song “One Dance,” which remains his most-streamed track, boasting over two billion plays on Spotify.
As of January 2026, Wizkid tops the list of Africa’s most-streamed artists on Spotify, with Burna Boy following closely behind at over 9.5 billion streams. Rema ranks third with 5.6 billion, while Tems has exceeded 4.4 billion streams. South African artist Tyla has reached 3.7 billion, and rising Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has 3.3 billion streams.
