Like himself, who is not known to have engaged in any other venture for a living apart from politics, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike is said to be positioning his first son, Jordan to tow his path.
It was gathered that Wike is plotting to draft the 25-year-old law graduate to contest the House of Representatives seat for Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, taking the place of the House of Representatives Minority Leader, Rep. Kingsley Chinda, in the 2027 election.
In recent times, Wike is often seen at public functions with the son tagging along.
At a recent function the minister attended in Dubai, the minister took his sons along, who were tagged as official delegates, a development that drew flak from a cross section of Nigerians.
Observers say the minister is doing everything to recreate in Rivers the political trajectory of President Bola Tinubu in Lagos State.

These analysts say is the major reason for the energy-sapping crisis the minister engineered in Rivers State in a quest to dominate the political firmament and dictate who gets what.
“It is the principal reason the minister does not want Governor Siminalayi Fubara to breathe as he is bent on asserting himself as the undisputed godfather of Rivers politics,” one analyst said.
The minister has been going round the state on what he christened: “Thank you” tour and vowing that Gov. Fubara must not be allowed to get a second term in office.
Wike likened Gov. Fubara’s second term prospect to burying him (Wike) politically.
